In 2025, a logistics company came to Manish Paranjape with a frustrating problem. They had been shipping large quantities of code for over 3 years - 4,200 commits across 6 repositories. Their customers were paying real money for the software, and their businesses demanded that it be rock solid and fast.

The logistics company had a very strong team, but they were dedicating 68% of their hours to maintenance. Nobody knew why – but they know they needed to spend more time on advancing their software, not just maintaining it.

Manish deployed an AI software layer he had been working on against the company’s full codebase and 3+ years of git history. Within days, he had a map of exactly where the complexity had accumulated and a root cause understanding of why their highest- traffic module had been modified 238 times. Most important, he provided a set of targeted fixes which would eventually redirect 800+ hours per year from firefighting back to building.

That was the beginning of EKKA. Today, EKKA is based in New Jersey with an extended team in Dallas, San Diego and Pune, India.
